Ouch!!

I've been doing a lot of walking lately to get ready. I now a have a huge blister on the ball of my right foot. There's a tiny one trying to catch up on the left foot, but doesn't compare to my right. It seems to be healing nicely. I expected it, but I wanted to get them out of the way ASAP. I'll take a short walk tonight, but I'm going to wait another day before I walk home from work. Things are going pretty good otherwise. I have recieved some support from the Standard-Times in New Bedford. It wasn't too hard, I used to work there. They are discussing what we might do and get back to me. I also recieved a dontation from UCDMC dietary, with help from my friend Gretchen Wolf. So I want to thank everyone involved out there in Sacremento, CA. Thanks Cali peeps!!! I believe I also have a driver as well. Her name is Erin Good. She lives in Somerville, MA. She responded to the ad I put on Craigslist. I got a few really good candidates, they are still on backup (because things happen.) Well, that's it for now. Please visit the website and donate if you can.......and spread the word!! Thanks M :n)

Driver responses

I'd like to thank everyone that has responded to follow me on my walk for MS. There are seven or so apps right now and everyone seems really excited about the trip, including Onyx!!
I figured I'd tell you a little about myself. (and Onyx)
I graduated from Bishop Stang HS in 1989. I graduated from college in 1999-I was on the ten year plan. I lived in Utah for seven years and returned to Massachusetts in December of 99. I got a job working as a production artist for several years until I landed a job at a weekly newspaper. That job led me to a full time job at the Standard-Times in New Bedford, Ma. I have worked in three national park, including Yellowstone, The Grand Canyon and Historical Downtown New Bedford(which is also a national park believe it or not.) I decided to go on this trek because I've always wanted to do it. What better way to raise money for MS by doing something you love. I have set up a website with info about the trip at: www.walkofalifetime.org.
There is an account to take donations at any Bank of America. acct# 4622080941 under the name "The Walk of a Lifetime"
Please donate if you can. I know things are tough right now, but every little bit helps. I will post more soon. Thank you all! Matt :n)
